Tutoring Services / Supplemental Educational Services Providers
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) include summer and before- and after-school tutoring in reading, language arts, or math. They may be offered through public- or private-sector providers who are approved by the state, such as public schools, public charter schools, local education agencies (local school systems, herein referred to as LEAs), educational service agencies, faith-based organizations, and community groups.
Students from low-income families who remain in Title I schools that fail to meet AYP for at least three years, and are thus in the second year of Needs Improvement status, are eligible to receive SES.

Program Summary
Educate! Motivate! Celebrate! We believe if the child is in our seat we can help them. Our program is designed with the highest regard for helping struggling learners in Georgia. We tutor students in Kindergarten through 8th grade in reading or math. Our professionally trained tutors, most of whom are certified teachers from local school and community are trained to ensure that our students are always supervised. We are in our fifth year of operation. Our program is housed mainly in the local schools. Our classes are held two days a week for 90 minutes each day and we tutor in small groups and large groups. A key component of our program is goal setting with all parties; parents and school personnel participate following an examination of available school data and an analysis of a diagnostic pretest. With this information, we develop an Individual Student Plan (ISP) with specific goals and individualized curriculum for the student. We have aligned our curriculum and the master plan of each School District we serve. We present a progress report monthly to parents, teachers and school districts. Our company administers a post test to determine student growth and curriculum strengths and weaknesses. We are happy to report, there are significant reading and math gains in every school district we serve. Our company conducts initial and on-going training for tutors. We celebrate learning at the end of the program by inviting parents, tutors, and students to a Completion Ceremony. At this ceremony we recognize each child's work ethic and regular attendance. Our tutoring company takes pride and counts it a privilege to provide supplemental services in Reading and Math to the students in the State of Georgia.

#1 in Learning (#1L) provides tutoring for K-12 students in mathematics, reading, and English language arts in 7 states. Our desire is to groom the character and learning abilities of our students in order to help them meet and conquer the challenges of their educational career. Our program has been successfully helping students increase academic performance on class work, homework, and standardized tests for over 6 years. #1L students reflect an increase of at least 1 grade level when completing our program. Program Summary
1 to 1 Tutor provides live, online, one on one Mathematics tutoring; our tutors communicate with students via a headset, microphone and cyber-tablet, which are provided to students free of charge. If a student does not have a computer and/or high-speed internet connection we will provide them for the duration of tutoring. Tutoring sessions generally take place 2-3 times per week and each session typically 1 hour in length. We assess student needs with both a Study Island curriculum grade specific assessment test and a company developed exam to set concrete goals with a timetable that is guided by the number of hours a student will be in our program. 1 to 1 Tutor has been providing online Mathematics tutoring since 2007. Our reserach shows that 76% of our SES students show significant improvement in academic achievement on their State test scores.

Program Summary
Our program was developed by a former School Counselor/Graduation Coach/Curriculum Assistant Principal with over 25 years developing curriculum for “at-potential” students. With 9 years of collective service as an SES provider we have a proven record of success. We promote hands-on instruction and higher order thinking skills. Our tutors consist of mostly teachers who receive additional instructional and procedural training through 4 Our Kids. Materials used will include workbooks correlated to the GPS, additional textbooks, and resources which allow for adequate practice of skills. Our program is flexible to meet the schedules of parents and students. Services are provided at schools, community locations, or in-home. Transportation may be arranged for some locations. Group sizes are 1:1 up to 8:1. Tutoring is held between the hours of 3-9:00 p.m. 2 hours per day on weeknights and from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. for up to 4 hours on weekends and school holidays.

Program Summary
A to Z In-Home Tutoring provides in person, one-on-one instruction in the student’s home/community setting or in small groups of 3-5 students. Our tutors work with children in Language Arts or Math. As one of the largest SES providers in Georgia for the past seven years, we are very experienced. Our curriculum is research-based and includes pre-testing to identify deficiencies in skill sets so that tutoring services are 100% customized and individualized to the student. We also use local and state assessments as well as parent and teacher recommendations to develop the goals on the student learning plan. A post-test is given to measure overall gains of the child and the new skills they have achieved. Strong teaching backgrounds and a comprehensive understanding of children’s needs enable our tutors to develop learning skills, boost confidence, and enhance motivation. Program Summary
Challenging Failure Tutoring specializes in helping students with learning challenges. Based on over 30 teaching experience, we understand that not everyone learns the same way or at the same rate. Our tutors are experts in providing instruction in different ways. We pre test students to identify weaknesses and develop an instructional plan based on what they are expected to know for testing. Only after they have mastered one concept, do we move on to the next. Our average student showed a 93 point increase between their pre and posttest. Our Satisfaction Survey showed 100% of our students believe our tutoring improved their grades and 75% of parents would use our services again. Our tutoring groups of no more than 4 students per tutor meet one to two times a week for up to 2 hours at locations and on the days/times that are convenient. Materials are provided free.

ABOUTFACE! Reading has been teaching reading to students throughout the Southeast for 11 years and has been an SES Provider in Georgia for four years. Our reading lessons are designed using the five scientifically-based strategies recommended by the National Reading Panel to increase reading skills. Every student is pre-tested to determine their unique needs and an Individualized Learning Plan is developed with teacher and parent input. Then, leveled books are chosen that reflect each student's current reading abilities. As students' mastery increases, additional tests pinpoint remaining skill gaps. Learning Plans are then updated to fill those gaps. Finally, post-tests are administered to gauge student improvement. Each child receives approximately 20 hours of tutoring, usually 1 hour sessions, twice weekly. All of our pupils will move to the next reading level or higher. Every child keeps every book they read. Lessons are held in LEA's, churches, libraries or other public area. We provide all materials including scripted lesson plans, books, word cards, and any other materials needed for the course of instruction.

Achieve HighPoints CSRA is a Franchise of Achieve HighPoints which is a GA state approved SES provider for the last 4 years. We are an online math tutoring program that helps students in Grades 3 through 12 improve their math skills. We offer students self-paced tutoring aligned to the state curriculum standards. Our program is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week and students are required to complete 4 sessions each week. Each session is of l hour duration. Our virtual Math tutors all have degress in Math or related fields.
Parents have written to us to say that Achieve HighPoints has successfully helped their children improve their math grades significantly. According to the UGA survey, 82.5% students enrolled with us reported that their Math grade improved in school. 87.6% students were overall satisfied with our Tutoring services. 86.6% students will recommend us to their peers and 66.7% of students who tutored with us got a meets or exceeds on their CRCT or EOCT.

Achieve Success Tutoring (AST) provides up to 40 hours of tutoring for each student receiving SES services. Our sessions are either conducted at the school facility or an alternate site such as a Boy & Girls Club, local church etc. We meet with student(s) 2 - 3 times per week in 60 to 90 minute sessions. We focus on small group instruction with a 4:1 ratio. We require a minimum of five (5) students to provide services in a school district.
AST conducts an individual pre assessment and prepares an Individualized Student Plan (ISP) for each child. We use high quality research-based methods and materials in our daily sessions.
We present a Student Progress Report to parents every two weeks. At the conclusion of the program, a post assessment is conducted and a final Student Progress Report is provided to parents.

Non-Profit Tutoring Service providing:
Custom One-on-One, or Small group tutoring, (less than 8:1), in the student’s home or pre-arranged facility. Progress occurs because of the Individualized nature of the program, while supplementing classroom work. Qualified tutors are “matched” to the student in Reading/Language Arts or Math, and are experienced with low income, at-risk students.
Parent insight, teacher feedback, school assessment scores, and Initial Pre-testing form a program blueprint, and tutoring progresses as subject mastery is achieved. Each student receives a custom Individual Student Plan and Goals. Teacher’s feedback is requested to assist in preparing a program for each student. Daily Lessons are prepared for each student using Georgia Performance Standards (GPS), and regular Progress Reports are provided every 2 weeks.
Using a final Post-test session, test data is compared to the initial Pre-test to determine improvement for each student.
Sessions traditionally twice per week, not exceeding 2 hours, followed by a consultation each session.
On average, improvement is one letter grade after 3 months. Student achievement improvement has averaged over 25% in Reading; Language Arts; & Math for 4 consecutive years.

The AchieveResults™ Tutorial program was developed by a former mathematics university professor and middle school math educator, and has a proven record for improving students’ academic achievement in reading and mathematics on the CRCT! The president of AchieveResults™ Tutorial has over 21 years experience in education and educational leadership, and AchieveResults™ Tutorial has successfully tutored students in Georgia and other states since 2003. Because of our small group instruction, our Tutors are able to identify and work on students’ individual weaknesses, based on Pre-Test results, previous student performance in school, and parental involvement. Student mastery is closely monitored, and parents receive monthly progress reports.
The AchieveResults™ Tutorial program meets 1 ½ to 2 hours after school, twice weekly at students’ school (with principal’s permission), or at a local public center within the students’ community. Program Summary
Anytime Tutoring offers tutoring in math, English language arts, reading and science. Science is only available to high school students. Program runs two days a week. Each session is 1-2 hours long. If possible, tutoring sessions are held at the school. If not, tutoring is offered either at students' homes, online, at a local community center, local library or a church. If possible, transportation to the tutoring site from schools and from the tutoring site to home is also provided. Students just have to be present go get the benefit of the program. All the instructional materials including the books for face-to-face instructions and computers for online instructions is provided. Anytime Tutoring uses local tutors and trains them to provide high quality tutoring.

Program Summary
ATS Project Success offers eligible K-8 students support in English Language Arts (including reading) and Mathematics. We offer services online in the comfort and safety of the student’s home with a loaned, pre-programmed computer and dial-up Internet service at no cost to parents. We assess students to determine the student’s instructional level and learning objectives. Next, we set and adjust the curriculum to provide activities at the appropriate level. We encourage students to complete two one-hour sessions per week. Our staff monitors student progress online and follows-up with emails to the student and calls to their parents once each week. We also provide parents with monthly written reports (English/Spanish) and work with schools and teachers to make sure the student’s efforts in our program are helping them success in the classroom as well. Program Summary
August House uses highly engaging stories from around the world with colorful animations, entertaining read along files, carefully illustrated picture books and targeted practice assignments to build the specific reading skills each student needs to succeed on the CRCT. The self-paced program is aligned to the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) for grades K-5. It can be used individually or in a small group. The program and assignments are highly interactive and guide the students to practice exactly the skills that they need to master. Students will need to have internet access and are expected to use the program twice a week for one hour at home, at a library, a community center or other facility with an internet connection. Each student is assessed throughout the program and the results are used to build and Individual Student Profile (ISP) that identifies specific strengths and weaknesses matching the GPS. Progress is measured, tracked and reported to ensure that the student is practicing the specific reading skills that he or she needs to build. When students complete a story unit, they take the book home to build their own personal reading library. After completing the program, on average the students will improve their reading skills by 10% or more on standardized tests. No transportation required. This highly engaging instructional model was developed over four years of research and testing. As a result, the program targets emerging and struggling readers who need to develop stronger skills and confidence in phonics, vocabulary, comprehension and fluency as defined by the Georgia Performance Standards.

Over the years, C2 has compiled statistics as to how many hours of instruction it takes to raise students from a given level of performance (as measured by our initial assessment using the California Achievement Test) to a desired level set in the program goals (worked out by parent and C2 center director). While most students come on average 2 times a week, that figure is flexible and depends on the amount of improvement required. Therefore, the 2 hour figure above is a typical program. However, each program, including number of sessions per week is tailored to the needs of each student. Since its inception in 2000. C2 Educational Systems has provided individualized tutoring to K-12 students in all academic areas. It has been an SES provider in the State of Georgia from 2006 through 2009. Each student is assessed prior to enrollment to determine strengths and weaknesses in order to establish a customized program of of instruction. Instruction is then delivered in 2-hour increments by a highly qualified tutor with no more than 5 students per tutor. C2 uses a combination of curriculum materials from national publishers as well as materials used in the local districts. C2 provides tutoring services Monday through Thursday (after school), and all day Saturday. C2 has an extraordinary track record in helping its students raise their grade point average, SAT scores, and passing their state exams. The Next Level Community Development Center (NCLD), Inc.d.b.a.Camp Zion Supplemental Educational Services is a diagnostic/prescriptive program based on scientific research and best practices for assisting students in grades (K-12) attain improved academic achievement in the core subjects of reading, math, and science by using technology, multiple learning strategies, and individual and small group tutoring. Carrter, Reddy & Associates utilizes Reciprocal Teaching strategies to tutor students in reading and mathematics. Program Summary
CF Tutoring specializes in helping students who have not been successful with traditional teaching. Based on 15 years of experience, we understand that not everyone learns the same way or at the same rate. Using a web based test to identify what your student has not learned, we develop an instructional plan based on the Georgia Performance Standards & the test they are expected to pass. Only after they have mastered one concept, do we move on to the next. Our average student showed a 93 point increase between their pre and posttest. Educate Online has successfully served more than 56,000 students since 2002, including more than 1,400 in Georgia since 2007. On average, students who complete our math program gain at least a grade level. This also positively impacts in-school performance and grades.
All instruction takes place on a computer and headset provided by Educate Online. Educate Online will also arrange internet connectivity, if needed. To ensure student safety, the computers are loaded with security software embedded in the operating system only allowing students to access the Educate Online program until they complete their tutoring. Students typically take two to four 60 minute sessions each week. Using headset and computer, they will be taught by a live instructor.
All sessions take place in the safety and convenience of each student's home - eliminating the need for transportation. Sessions are available seven days a week and are taught by U.S. state-certified teachers with at least two years of teaching experience. Student-to-teacher ratios do not exceed 3:1.
Students take an assessment test at the beginning of the Educate Online program to provide a baseline for determining an individualized learning plan. A Prescription Monitor reviews each plan to ensure that the skills are matched up properly and the curriculum is appropriate for that student. The plan presents content areas where the student is struggling, specific skills or strategies needed and examples of skills or strategies in use. Educate Online is able to serve ELL, special education, and disabled students given their ability to perform the necessary computer related functions.

Program Summary
Educational Enterprises is a tutoring and consulting company that was founded by Dr. Glenna Tyler in 1999. We have provided SES tutoring for 7 school years beginning in 2002-2003.
Since 2002-2003 Educational Enterprises has been successful in assisting numerous schools in meeting AYP; Riley and Barden Elementary schools in Macon, Georgia and Rutherford Elementary in Detroit, Michigan. We have also assisted other schools in raising their student’s academic achievement on state standards; Weaver Middle School in Macon, Georgia, Campbell Middle School, Carson Middle School and Turner Middle School all in Atlanta, Georgia
Programs will be conducted at schools, churches or community centers for participating students. Sessions last from 1.0 hours to 2.0 hours per day with an average session being 1.5 hours. (Some Saturday programs run 3.0 hours 4 days per month). Sessions will run 2-3 days per week. Program hours will run 20-30 depending on school district.
All tutoring programs will begin with Achieve assessment test for K-12. After students strengths and weaknesses have been determined an individualized plan is developed to target specific areas and skill gaps for tutoring. Goals and objectives will be determined by identifying skill gaps and correlating them to state standards for mastery. Student progress will be monitored daily. A monthly progress report and a detailed tutoring log will be sent home. As students master goals and objectives this will be noted on the tutoring log, then new goals and objectives will be determined for mastery.

Program Summary
Electronic Classroom Of Tomorrow is a nonprofit organization that provides quality online individualized live tutoring by licensed highly qualified teachers in a real-time setting. Tutoring can take place in the home, school or at any other location with computer and internet access of the parents’ choice such as a library, community center, or a business. Headsets are sent to all students, so they can actively participate in live tutoring session. Our Educators use research based strategies that have demonstrated success based upon individual students needs as determined with input of parents and your child’s teachers following Georgia’s Performance Standards.
Based on frequency and length of the instruction (we suggest one hour three days per week) and the specific skills to be provided, progress will be monitored weekly or bi-weekly. Results will be sent to parent and teachers and a mid-point conference will be provided.

Program Summary
We provide tutorial services in Reading/Language Arts, Math, and Science for small groups of eight or less. We have a demonstrated record of effectiveness in improving academics. We have been an approved provider in Georgia for the last three years. Students typically receive about 20-30 hours of instruction averaging about six hours per week. Tutoring sessions are held 2-3 times a week and typically last about 90 minutes. Sessions include differentiated instruction, guided practice, and learning games. Diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments are also included. Once the areas in need of remediation are identified, an individual student learning plan will be prescribed and developed. It is our goal to employ certified teachers who are already employed by the local school districts. Our tutors are rquired to communiicate with parents and teachers on a consistent basis to inform them of student progress. We also provide transportation for some locations.

Program Summary
Envision Learning has been tutoring and mentoring kids since 2006. In addition to other services, we provide online math tutoring using (ALEKS) Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces, a web-based artificially intelligent assessment and learning system.
Our program is aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards GPS). Students using ALEKS consistently, result in test scores increasing and overall mastery of basic math facts.
Following the initial assessment, ALEKS generates a pie chart to display student results. The report describes the student’s current knowledge of the subject and creates an (ISP) Individual Student Plan. Computer/Internet is provided for students who do not have access.
Students have the flexibility to tutor at home. We encourage 2-4 hours of tutoring per week. Students must complete a minimum of 35 hours of tutoring within the school year and the cost to District is $60.00 per hour. Students can continue to tutor unlimited hours through the end of the school year.

eSchoolhouse has almost ten years of providing tutoring to K-12 students. The effectiveness of eSchoolhouse's instructioonal progam has been well established and documented through high stakes test results, matriculation into university and higher grades. Families choose our private schools year after year.
eSchoolhouse provides 1:1 tutoring to students through the Internet using it's proprietary instant, real time communication software designed for K-12 education. Students work in their home using computers and software provided free of charge. After all student performance data is amassed, a specially trained Academic Advisor is assigned to each student. The Academic Advisor administers the Passkey diagnostic and prescriptive testing; the results coupled with performance data is analyzed to develop the Individual Education Plan (IEP). Tutoring sessions are scheduled based on the requirements set forth in the customized IEP. Certified teachers who are also subject matter experts provide tutoring online.
eSchool House curriculum allows students the flexibility to work at their own pace. Special needs students and quick learners both are able to achieve academic success by taking as much time as they need to comprehend the course material-no more, no less. With over 150 course offerings, the unique curriculum is delivered through the Internet and includes a combination of online and offline components, including E-texts, traditional textbooks, worksbooks, CD-ROMs and other interactive multimedia. Lessons are designed to contain about 45 minutes of work. Academic Counselors will be available during this time to support students in a variety of ways. Our system will automatically track the time that students spend online. Free from peer pressures, distractions, and a rigid educational formula, our home school students can pursue educational excellence.

Grade Results has a four year record of helping Title I students across the country improve a grade level on state tests. Our live, one-to-one online tutoring features content aligned with GPS and integrated into the schools' curriculum.
Our pretest, other tests and our discussions with parents, teachers and staff help form our Student Learning Plan. The student then works with our tutors one hour per day, three days per week for ten weeks.
We provide monthly Progress Reports and will distribute them via email, mail, school meetings or phone calls. The program ends when the student takes the posttest to demonstrate the knowledge gained.
All tutors have bachelor's degrees and almost all have graduate degrees and years of teaching experience. The tutors have regular trainings and their work is frequently reviewed. Students can access us anywhere a computer is connected to the internet. No other material is required.

For the past five years, Graham Consulting Group, LLC has offered In-home or small group tutorial programs to over 350 low-income students and families beyond the normal scope of school-based educational programs. Our tutorials have shown positive academic growth in several areas. For example, 90% of all students who have enrolled in our SAT/ACT preparation tutorials have achieved an increase of at least 250 points on their future standardized exams. In addition, 91% of all students who have participated in our Georgia High School Graduation Test tutorials have attained a minimal passing score in all subject areas. Moreover, 89% showed improvement in reading comprehension, while 95% showed improvement in Math. Our tutorials increase student academic achievement by providing a detailed curriculum that is aligned with the grade and subject specific Georgia Performance Standards (GPS). Our tutorial program will drive students to mastery in the following areas: reading, English, and mathematics. Students are tutored in one-on-one/small group settings following an instructional plan based on their strengths and needs. Using the students diagnostic test results, an individualized learning plan includes our recommended instructional program, based on the student’s individual needs. Our program is structured to give students 2-hour bi-weekly tutorials for a total of 15 weeks or 30 hours. The first and last two hours will be utilized for pre and post testing. Furthermore, instructors at Graham Consulting Group, LLC will have access to various technological resources including tape/CD players, grade appropriate books on tape, various listening activities and hands on manipulatives to assist in their tutorials. I Can Kids, Inc. has been in the forefront of providing educational services for at-risk children for ten years. Services are currently being provided in Williamsburg, South Carolina at a small rural elementary school that has not met AYP for four years. Cades Elementary School Partnered with I Can Kids, Inc. to provide three hours after-school tutoring in reading, math, science, and social studies. I Can Kids, Inc. was awarded a 21st Century After-School Learning Center Grant to assist the struggling school meet NCLB and state academic standards. The students are making significant academic growth that the principal attributes to the after-school program. The after-school sessions are small groups of no more than ten students. All teachers are highly qualified. Tutors are utilized the direct instruction, hands on manipulative and the Leap-track reading program to build the skill level of the students. High interest reading books and other reading materials recommended by the highly successful “Great Source Reading Program” are incorporated in all instructional sessions. Summer skill building sessions incorporate reading and language and math skills in the arts, writing, and health and fitness. I Can Kids, Inc. have designed the after-school instructional program to reach struggling students. Once the needs of the students are identified, the I Can Kids, Inc. staff designs a learning plan that fits the needs of the students. Teaching small groups and using strategies that address learning styles of students has made the I Can Kids, Inc. after-school program successful.

For over seven years, JFK TUTORING, INC. has serviced over 1500 students, Kindergarten through 12th grade, using a NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED curriculum created by Pearson Learning Group. GRADE/GMADE curriculum is aligned with the state standards and continues to be successful in improving academic achievement in the individual state achievement test. Learning4Today (L4T) has offered SES tutoring services for four years. L4T's research-based Academic Excellence program demonstrates a record of effectiveness on student academic performance as measured by state assessments. Eighty-five percent of L4T students show at least a one grade level gain. We achieve these results by conducting an online assessment to identify gaps in each student's math and/or reading skills and by creating an individual plan that combines computer-aided instruction with small group tutoring to improve student skill levels a miniimum of 80% at posttest. Students spend 3-5 hours per week alternating between computer-based and pencill-and-paper, small group learning in 1-2 hours sessions over a period of 15-20 weeks. L4T uses a mastery learning model to assess student progress. This model integrates ongoing, curriculum-based measurements of each student's ISP goals with their tutor's on-site observation of progress the student makes toward his/her goals.

Math & Reading Wizards Program has over nine (9) years of tutoring experience. The program is based on the use of worksheets that incorporates basic math and reading techniques. For over 5 years, PROGRAM & PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES® has provided instructions to students in K - 8 grades (elementary and middle school) in reading and math. Tutoring is provided three times per week, on site at the school or at a centrally-located community organization or church. Elementary tutoring sessions are one hour long, while middle school sessions are 90 minutes. Saturday tutoring sessions are 2.5 hours and is provided, depending on student/family scheduling needs and agreements with the local school district.

Reach for Tomorrow (RFT) has been an approved SES provider in 15 states for grades K-12 for the past 3 years. Students have shown an average grade level gain of 2 or more grade levels in English Language Arts and Math in less that 30 hours. Extralearning Online is used to deliver instruction to students which is a self-paced, individualized, web based, computer delivered, secular, neutral, and non-ideological mastery learning program for grades K-12.
Tutoring sessions are 1 hour after school for up to 4 days per week using school based computers and the Internet- no software required. RFT uses only local teachers who are trained on the program to work with students using customized curricula for each student. Students are assessed using criteria based tests embedded in the program for grades K-12 as well as nationally normed Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) for grades 5-12. Individual Programs of Study are created to set goals for improvement of at least .5 grade level in English/Language Arts and 1 grade level in Math.
Each lesson progresses as follows: read a text book, providing instructional content in small segments; questions to check the student's understanding of what they have read; a short lesson quiz to measure their level of mastery of the lesson; and activities to reinforce the content presented in the book such as hands on activities such as BrainPops (interactive animated shorts) for the kinesthetic learner and streaming videos for the visual learner to further expand the content presented in the book. The lesson ends at the completion of these visual assignments, and the student moves on to the next lesson. Each student may work with a live tutor online from after school until midnight 7 days per week to assist with homework at no cost.

The Saved by the Bell Supplemental Education Service Center proposed by S & V Educational Systems, Inc. will offer instruction in reading/language arts and math in the Bibb County Middle Georgia area. Solid Rock Academy, a licensed SACS accredited school, has served children for more than twenty-five years.

Program Summary
The Synergistic Youth Enterprises, Inc. (SYE) SES Tutoring Accelerates Realization of Success Program (SYE STARS) increases middle and high school students’ achievement using a research-based, curriculum that aligns with the Georgia Performance Standards. Tutoring is provided by highly qualified instructors. The SYE STARS Program operates based upon the needs of the students its serves. Hours are Monday-Friday after-school and on specified Saturdays. Each tutoring session will last two hours. Tutoring may take place in the students’ home, at the SYE Office in Union City, Georgia that has a large computer lab; in the local schools where access is provided; and/or in other locations near students from the target schools. SYE will use validated and reliable methods for assessing students’ abilities in order to provide customized services. SYE has extensive experience helping low-income, first-generation students to improve their academic achievement and succeed in school.

Program Summary
Sylvan Learning Center has provided tutoring to more than two million students over 25 years. Our instruction is based on individual student academic assessments. Through mastery learning we remediate skill gaps; through personalized lesson plans, we enhance academic achievement and increase confidence. The tests administered depend on the type of program necessary for supplementing academic achievement in reading, math, or language arts. These tests include word analysis testing, California Achievement testing, the Gray Oral Reading Test, and a receptive/expressive vocabulary assessment. Each student's program includes generalized long term goals as well as specific short term goals that directly align with the current Georgia Performance Standards. All instructional materials are provided at the teaching facility. In addition to the diagnostic testing, a progress test is administered at the conclusion of the supplemental program. A standard tutoring session is one to two hours in length. Students have the option to attend one or two days per week. The teaching schedule is Monday-Thursday, 4:00-7:00 pm, and Saturday, 9:30-1:30 pm. The facility is located at 3312 Northside Dr., A-115, Macon, GA. Sylvan Learning Center has six years experience as a Georgia SES Provider.

Program Summary
Our directors have been in the tutoring field for over 8 years and our company has proven results based on our curriculum. Tabula Rasa is able to offer services to students who are English language learners and we will provide the parents with materials in their native language. We are dedicated to improving student grades and offer a variety of instruction methods, including one-on-one tutoring, small groups, and large groups. Tabula Rasa Tutoring works with the parents to create a schedule that works for them, so we offer instruction afterschool, before school, summers, and weekends. We also are flexible with the length of the tutoring sessions. A student may tutor up to 4 hours per week, but weekday sessions will not exceed 2 hours. Tabula Rasa is also flexible with the location of tutoring services, we offer tutoring in-home, school, library, church and any other location convenient for the parent.

Program Summary
The Aya Center is an academic community organization developed by professional educators and therapists who were deeply concerned with the need for substantive youth development services in Durham, NC. The mission of our organization is to awaken the Aya of our students by strengthening persons experiencing educational deficiencies, developmental disabilities, emotional and behavioral challenges through the provision of academic tutoring, therapeutic mentoring, and community support services. Out of that dedication to the community well being, the Aya Center was established in 2003 to serve women in need and at risk youth. Since then, The Aya Center has tutored and mentored over 1,200 motivated yet underserved students. The Aya Center has been widely recognized as a highly effective academic and social development model. The Aya Center tutoring sessions is offered two times per week for an hour and half per session at the LEA approved site, community center, or student’s home (as needed). Each student assigned to The Aya Center will receive an individual learning plan upon completing their pre-assessment to determine their strengths and weaknesses. Our academic and social approach to learning provides a nurturing environment for students to concentrate and feel comfortable while learning. Our program has proven effective in developing the complete student, both academically and behaviorally. We work in close collaboration with parent/guardians, schools, community organizations and a broad range of academic and behavioral specialists. Our consistent, individualized approach to youth development and learning ensures all students receive a tailor made educational curriculum. As a result, The Aya Center’s proven experience and community based approach to learning has now helped over 250 families and hundreds of students in North Carolina improve academically, reach individual goals, and build a basis for a lifetime of positive growth, development and learning.

The owner has provided tutorial services to elementary children for 15 years. In 2008 she opened a center in Clayton County to include middle and high school students. Hours of operating are Monday-Thursday, 2:30p-4:30p for elementary. Monday-Thursday 3:30p-5:30p High School & 5:30p-8:00p for middle school. Summer Camp is 10:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m. Mon-Thurs for 6 weeks.

Program Summary
Tower education is a full service educational consulting firm specializing in the delivery of highly individualized, one-on-one instruction in the comfort and security of the client’s own home. At Tower, we provide intense and extensive research based diagnostic testing to determine the ability of each student. We then prescribe academic goals directly aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards for the students to achieve. For over 5 years, our program has accelerated student academic achievement on state, local, and other independent performance tests. Our standard mode of instruction requires rigorous one hour Math sessions twice per week as well as rigorous one hour Reading/Language Arts sessions twice per week. We operate from the after school hours of 2:30pm-8:30pm as well as on weekends and during the summer. After administering a diagnostic assessment, our instructors will analyze your child’s results, and create an individualized student plan specifically for your child. This plan will identify specific standards for your child to master. Instruction is highly monitored and feedback is given immediately. Progress is checked frequently and consistently to assure that students are being challenged at their highest levels. Program Summary
For decades West Cobb Preparatory Academy has provided an early intervention tutorial service that promotes literacy to hundreds of inner-city children; of whom would not have otherwise been introduced to a print-rich environment. Statistically this tutorial program is one hundred percent successful by increasing students’ grades by at the least one letter grade. Our comprehensive instructional program targets students in K-8th grade and is our current initiative modeled by the recommendations of The National Reading Panel and guided GPS. We are accredited through the GAC, SACS, and The United Way.
To maximize student achievement our facility is equipped with a computer lab and a media center. The computer lab has fourteen computers loaded with “Orchards Teachers Choice Software”. Our instructional material is an integration of the GPS student workbooks, and Reading Advantage. Tutorial sessions for will be taught in small-groups or individual, held twice a week and last about one hour and thirty minutes.

Program Summary
Our agency has been a successful tutoring entity for the past 15 years. Our success has been featured in the local and print media as well, including the Oprah Winfrey Show. Last year our Agency was the primary SES provider for Early County school district. Collaboratively, our partnership resulted in the district being removed from a probationary status under NCLB. We have successfully delivered SES Since 2004. We administer pre- and post-tests using MySkillsTutor -an online educational tool aligned to Georgia Performance Standards (GPS). The results help chart the students' academic goals, program structure and timeline of progress. The sessions, offered after school hours, are 1.5 hours per day two to three days per week. Our lab has 20+ internet ready computers. We utilize the GPS as a guide in administering the curriculum to ensure our instructions is consistent with lessons students are being taught in classroom. We provide SES to a minimum of 10 students per LEA.

Program Summary
Zoom In-Home Tutoring has been tutoring Georgia children since 2001 and providing SES services since 2003. Our program focuses on giving every student individualized one on one attention in the comfort of their home. Each student is tutored based on school’s curriculum to improve in class participation and self-confidence. Student goals are set in accordance with pre-assessment results, conferences with parents, conferences with classroom teachers, state curriculum standards, and each student’s local curriculum. On average, each tutoring session lasts 1-3 hours and is held 1-3 times per week. Session time and length is customized for each student’s needs. Instructional materials are directly correlated with Georgia State Standards. Materials may include lesson plans, worksheets, workbooks, newspapers, current event related topics, etc. The Zoom program is proven to improve student academic achievement. On average, students who complete our program will see an increase in grade level equivalency of 1-2 grade levels.
