Atlanta's Human Trafficking Problem

Each year approximately 5,000 girls are at risk of being victims of human sex trafficking in Georgia. Moreover, because of the prominence of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and Atlanta's sprawling landscape, Atlanta remains at center of this global epidemic. The Georgia Department of Education does not want to stand by idly and allow sex trafficking to continue.

Therefore, we are working with a number of state and non-governmental organization partners to host seminars which are designed to assist Georgia educators, students, and social service workers recognize key indicators of potential human sex trafficking activities, as well identify those persons who may be victims.

Participants will be provided with information on how to spot warning signs, how to help troubled girls [before they are endangered], and how to proceed with contacting law enforcement officials and government agencies with specializations in human trafficking.

Thank you for partnering with the Georgia Department of Education in combating Human Sex Trafficking and saying "Not in Georgia"!
