… Connecting Accountability,
School and System Level Leadership and Funding
February 10-12, 2008, Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain

ALF Overview

Designed to help local Career, Technical and Agricultural Directors and Supervisors, the 2008 Winter CTAE Leadership Conference focused on one key component, the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006. The purpose of Perkins is to provide individuals with the academic and technical skills needed to succeed in a knowledge- and skills-based economy. Perkins supports career and technical education that prepares its students both for secondary and postsecondary education and the careers of their choice. Federal resources help ensure that career and technical programs are academically rigorous and up-to-date with the needs of business and industry.
