Professional Learning Resources

Through supports provided by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) state education agencies seek to provide assistance to educators, administrators and families in local school districts that will ensure that students with disabilities can access appropriate educational programs. An important part of this support is the provision of Professional Learning.

The Division of Special Education Services collaborates with many partners at the local, state, regional and national level to provide timely, accurate information about available resources in special education. The material in this section is aimed at providing resources for your use in order that you may participate in and/or provide professional learning opportunities in Georgia. The topics below feature links to other websites, materials, presentations and conference/training registrations related to many of the most important and requested issues in special education.
