Description of Duties: |
Under limited supervision, applies professional expertise to activities and projects for Georgia’s implementation of a growth model which will be used as part of an educator effectiveness evaluation system. Duties include supporting the implementation of a growth model; developing and implementing, in collaboration with others, a comprehensive set of business rules for the model; assisting with data analysis and quality control procedures; developing, managing, and analyzing large data sets using applications such as SPSS and Excel; conducting research and preparing reports; providing technical assistance to local school system staff; interpreting data and communicating results; and working with multiple stakeholders and divisions across the Georgia Department of Education. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Master’s Degree in educational measurement/research/statistics, education administration, psychology, or a related field and two years professional work experience in large-scale assessment, educational research/statistics, and/or education program evaluation. Note - Doctorate-level coursework in educational measurement/research/statistics, psychology, or a related field may be substituted for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Doctorate degree in measurement, research, statistics, or a related field
• Experience in educational research, measurement, and statistics
• Experience with large-scale education assessments
• Experience with growth/value added models
• Knowledge of SPSS
• System or school experience in K-12 education
• Experience with district or state-level test administration |
Salary/Benefits: |
