Brian K. Burdette
Tenth Congressional District
Mr. Burdette is a native of York, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State
University where he earned a Bachelor of Technology Degree for Mechanical Engineering in 1984.
Upon graduation he received the Eric A. and Josephine S. Walker Award from Penn. State University in
recognition of Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Citizenship. Burdette is the owner and CEO of
Glasstech Services Inc. and Blueprint Conversion Technology LLP. He is also a founding partner in
GMTEC, a software development company catering to the commercial glass and glazing business.
In 2002 Mr. Burdette was appointed by Governor
Perdue to the Georgia Rural Development Council and served as Chairman of the
Rural Healthcare Committee. In 2006 he was appointed by Governor Perdue to the
Georgia Board for Physician Workforce.
Currently, Mr. Burdette and his wife Patricia, reside in Greensboro, Georgia. He is a former Chairman
of the Greensboro Planning and Zoning Board, former Chairman of the Construction Committee for the Greene
County Cultural/Heritage Center and former Chairman of the Minnie G. Boswell Hospital Authority Board.
He has served on the Greene County High School’s Technical Advisory Committee.
Mr. Burdette currently represents Georgia’s 10th Congressional District on the Georgia State School Board.
He is also very active in local, state, and national politics. Promoting rural Georgia’s economic potential
has been a top priority in both his business and political life. In his leisure time Mr. Burdette and his
wife are avid horse enthusiasts and enjoy riding and spending time with their horses in the classic English tradition.
