Description of Duties: Under general to limited supervision, performs professional, financial-related, performance-related audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards. Duties include developing and maintaining an effective system to track the monitoring function for various federal school nutrition programs; reviewing monitoring plans for federal school nutrition programs for compliance with current federal laws and regulations; maintaining system access control to allow only authorized user access to monitoring reports; providing information updates and status reports to the School Nutrition Director; reviewing operational/program manuals for compliance with federal laws and regulations; assisting School Nutrition Director, and/or School Nutrition Program Managers with federal and state audit requirements; conducting financial and record-keeping training and communicating any updates of fiscal management policies; and performing internal audits on federal programs as directed by the School Nutrition Director or School Nutrition Program Manager.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field and one year of related experience OR one year of experience at the lower level or equivalent position OR four years of experience in a related area OR Masters Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following: • Bachelor's degree in accounting • Experience in governmental accounting and/or auditing
Salary/Benefits: Pay grade 14 – Annual salary range $32,418 (minimum) to $56,724.24 (maximum). Hiring salary is commensurate with current employment, relevant education/training, previous work experience, and available funding. Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance, annual/sick leave, and Employees’ Retirement or Teachers’ Retirement.
