The Special Needs Coordinator's Role

Like guidance staff, heads of special needs units have extra responsibilities because of the nature of the work they do with vulnerable students.

The special needs coordinator will be in a position to bring to the cybersafety team the perspectives of students with special needs and those who speak little or no English. Often these students can be particularly vulnerable, as they may not fully comprehend cybersafety rules, instruction and advice.
